	Readme File: Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour Map Pack ================================================================ Title : Temperate Map Pack 1 Version : 1.0 Release Date : 6th July 2004 Description : This is a temperate map pack made by DaRkAlEx and the G.o.a.T. It contains 4 maps and a lite version of the 8 player map. Authors : DaRkAlEx : alexanian_carpets@hotmail.com the G.o.a.T : the_GoaT@advalvas.be : http://thegoat.nuonsoft.com/ My First Map (Remake) (by DaRkAlEx) ----------------------------------- This is a small 2-player map set during the afternoon. A mountain, town, and lake make up most of this map. This map is a remake of the first ever map I made for Generals. Lonely Mountain (by the G.o.a.T) --------------------------------- This is a highly detailled 4-player map set in a temperate environment. The lonely mountain in the middle contains extra resources so it's worth exploring. Shallow Grave (by DaRkAlEx) --------------------------- This is a 6-player team-style map. This map takes place during the morning, hence the orange/red lighting. The base areas are fairly close together, this should make for some fast and furious fighting! River Crossing XL (by the G.o.a.T) ---------------------------------- This is a 8-player map set in a mountainous forest environment. Each player has a decent base area and plenty of resources. Tech buildings and more resources can be found closer towards the rivers. NOTE: due to the amount of detail in the regular version, I also included a lite version of the same map. If you have a less powerful PC you might want to play that version. River Crossing XL Lite (by the G.o.a.T) --------------------------------------- This is a 8-player map set in a mountainous forest environment. Each player has a decent base area and plenty of resources. Tech buildings and more resources can be found closer towards the rivers. NOTE: This is the lite version of the map. It has the same layout as the regular version, but I removed all the trees and most of the rocks to make it run faster. ================================================================ Requirements ------------ None. Special Thanks -------------- Installation ------------ To use the maps, look in your "My Documents" for a folder named "Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour data/Maps". If this directory doesn't exist (means you never played a skirmish game), play a skirmish map for a few minutes and comeback. The folder will be automatically created by the game. Extract the COMPLETE Map FOLDER (not just the individual files) included in the map zip file in the "/Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour data/Maps" folder. Fire up the game and you should be good to go. Look for the map in the Unofficial Maps section. Copyright / Permissions ----------------------- These levels are copyrighted by 'the G.o.a.T' and 'DaRkAlEx' 2004-2005. Authors may NOT use these levels as a base to build additional levels, unless they have our permission. You are NOT allowed to commercially exploit these levels, i.e. put it on a CD or any other electronic medium that is sold for money without our explicit permission!
